What is BIOLTYE?

BIOLTYE is a rehydration drink that contains the same amount of electrolytes as an IV bag. It is marketed as “the IV in a bottle.”

BIOLTYE was formulated by a physician, Dr. “Trey” Rollins. He is a practicing Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist of 37 year who practices in Atlanta, GA.

What are the ingredients?

Vitamins B12, B5, B6, B3 and L-Carnitine give you a natural boost of energy.

Milk thistle, Gluconolactone and N-Acetyl help the liver get rid of toxins and function at peak capacity.

Ginger and dextrose together help soothe nausea and symptoms of an upset stomach.

A mix of dextrose and erythritol will help facilitate rapid absorption and give you energy without spiking your blood sugar.

How does it work?

Similar to how an IV Bag works, BIOLYTE uses two different kinds of salts that are key for rapid dehydration relief:

Sodium Chloride (Na+Cl-) and Potassium Chloride (K+Cl-).

These types of salts are also known as our major biological electrolytes. The balance between these two in our cells re-establishes homeostasis (stability) back in your body.

BIOLYTE’s 10g of dextrose (sugar) helps your body move all of those electrolytes from the small intestine to the bloodstream, through a process called Sodium-Glucose Co-transport.

Dextrose is used because it’s a healthier sugar that helps with nausea, cramps and fatigue. Doctors add dextrose to patients IV Bags when they need energy quickly.

When should you drink BIOLTYE?

When you are experiencing symptoms (or to avoid symptoms) of dehydration, fatigue, muscle cramps, or overindulgence of alcohol.

Does it work?

I’ve started drinking one bottle of BIOLTYE during or after a round of golf and I have definitely noticed a difference in the way I feel. Summer is here and it is only getting hotter outside. I have definitely noticed a difference in my hydration and energy levels. It blows the sports drinks away. BIOLTYE works!

How does it taste?

I find it to be refreshing and prefer it to most sports drinks. It has over 7 times the electrolytes of the average sports drink by the way!

There is a noticeable salty taste, especially on the first sip, but you get used to it. You definitely want to drink BIOLTYE cold.

BIOLTYE comes in three flavors: tropical, berry, and citrus. I enjoyed all three, with citrus being my favorite.

Remember, BIOLTYE is not made to drink all the time. It is designed to combat the effects of dehydration. And it works!

BIOLYTE is available at many grocery stores and retailers throughout the country. To learn more about BIOLTYE, or to find a retailer near you, visit drinkbiolyte.com.
