The Alabama Golf Association has announced that it will offer the state’s first golf-themed license plate. Pre-commitments for the “Drive Fore the Game” plate is now being offered to residents of Alabama at an annual cost of $50 plus a $5 administration fee.

Money raised from the license plate sales will support the AGA’s Alabama Golf Foundation. The foundation supports junior golf initiatives including Youth on Course, which allows junior golfers access to over 1,400 golf courses throughout North America at reduced rates.  The funds will also be used to start a male scholarship program to accompany the existing women’s scholarship program.

In order for the plate to become a reality, 1,000 or more pre-commitments are needed. You can make your commitment now by going to https://precommit.mvtrip.alabama.gov/
