Streamsong Resort has announced plans to add a fourth golf course. The design team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw (Coore & Crenshaw Design) will once again partner on the design and construction of the new course.

“On Streamsong’s Tenth Anniversary, Ben Crenshaw and I are pleased to announce that we will again be working with our friends at the resort, this time to create a short course within walking distance of the Lodge,” said Bill Coore of Coore & Crenshaw Design.

The layout will be a departure from the existing Red, Blue, and Black Courses. The fourth case, currently unnamed, will be a walking course that will not require a full set of clubs. Early routings include holes ranging from 70 to 300 yards in length. The entire course is expected to use approximately 100 acres.

Six and twelve hole loops are expected, along with an 18-hole option. The concept allows guests to play more quickly and without designated tee markers or pars assigned to each hole.

Coore & Crenshaw also designed Streamsong Red, which received “Best New U.S. Course” honors upon its opening in 2012. Streamsong Red has maintained a ranking among the top 30 courses in the U.S. according to Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golfweek.
