The Founders Pub at Pursell Farms is where history and hospitality come together to create a truly unique experience. Located in what was once office space, prior to the construction of the Inn, the Founders Pub honors James T. Pursell, known as Mr. Jimmy, and his son CEO David Pursell.
The Founders Pub showcases a menu of delicious dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that every bite is bursting with flavor. From hearty burgers and sandwiches to fresh salads and seafood specialties, there is something for everyone to savor.
“Our menus are created with ingredients fresh from Southern gardens and farms, with dishes made from scratch and accented with cooking techniques such as smoking, pickling, and barbecuing,” said Chef Sean Butler. “We want guests to enjoy traditional favorites in new ways, and we’ve even sprinkled a few Pursell family favorites throughout the menu, too.”
But it’s not just about the food at Pursell Farms Founders Pub. The attentive staff is dedicated to providing exceptional service, making sure that every guest leaves with a special feeling.
The Founder’s Pub features a relaxed, comfortable decor with cozy seating areas. It’s the perfect place to unwind following a round of golf or after exploration of the property. You’ll be treated to a varied selection of craft beers, fine wines, and handcrafted cocktails.
“We used to say, ‘if these walls could talk’ they would have great stories to tell,” said David. “We created a new dining experience surrounded by an entertaining memory lane that traces the beginnings of Pursell Farms in art, vintage photography, and memorabilia. I guess you could say these walls do talk today.”
Make sure to take in a game of pool on Jim Nabors’ pool table. Mr. Nabors was a good friend Jimmy Pursell to his future wife, Chris Parker, and was the best man at their wedding.
So whether you’re looking for a casual meal with friends or celebrating a special occasion, make your way to Pursell Farms Founders Pub.
