Indian Pines Golf Course is currently undergoing a $5.7 million renovation project and is scheduled to be ready for play this fall. The course will feature a completely new layout, and a new name – Pines Crossing.

The course closed last fall to make way for the expansion of the Auburn University Regional Airport. It has been a mainstay for East Alabama golfers since 1977.

Bill Bergin Golf Designs has been tasked with the project. The company has completed over 70 original and redesign projects.

The new layout is expected to feature six teeing areas to accommodate players of all ages and abilities. The championship tees will stretch to approximately 7,000 yards.

When Pines Crossing opens, golfers will be treated not just with a new course, but also with an expansive driving range and fantastic short game area.

The new Pines Crossing course will be operated by the cities of Auburn and Opelika, just as Indian Pines was since its inception. Memberships and daily fee options will be available.

Pines Crossing is scheduled to open for play in November. You can follow the renovation progress on their Facebook Page: facebook.com/AOPinesCrossing
