Cherokee Ridge Country Club, one of the premier golf courses in North Alabama presents the 2024 Rocket City Open presented by Southern Fairways. This event will be held Saturday & Sunday April 27-28, 2024, and will showcase 120 golf amateurs and professionals competing for cash prizes in multiple flights.
This is the second year of the event and will be the first year to feature professionals. Last year’s competition was a great start to what General Manager Pete Sands hopes to be a premiere event in North Alabama.
“Anytime you are able to showcase your course in an event of this magnitude it is a positive,” says Sands. “Our staff has worked extremely hard to bring back Cherokee Ridge to the premier status it once was. We’ve had tremendous momentum coming off last year’s Rocket City Open and with this year featuring professionals it will be a great next step to help build this event.”
Players will compete in a 36-hole medal play event over the two days in multiple flights which will include one professional flight and three amateur flights (championship, senior, and net).
