The Southern Fairways Golf Tour kicked off the 2024 season with its first full-field event of the year at Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club in Gulf Shores, AL. 107 players from 4 states competed in five flights. The tournament was Presented By Coca-Cola.

Reeves Bozeman took home top honors with a strong performance of +9.

The tour uses a Modified Stableford Format, which awards points to players based on performance on each hole. Each player competes against his Point Quota. Unlike traditional golf scoring, pluses are better than minuses. This is the 8th year for the tour, which was previously known as the GCGA Tour.

The players braved cool and windy conditions early, but the sun made an appearance shortly after play began. Peninsula was in fantastic condition, and was a perfect setting for the first event of the season.
