Troon has been chosen to manage English Turn Golf & Country Club, a semi-private facility in New Orleans that is also open for daily-fee play. The club will operate under the Troon Golf division, which specializes in resort and daily-fee properties. Troon will oversee golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage services, and sales and marketing.

English Turn is anchored by its renowned Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course—a 7,078-yard, par-72 layout that features water on 17 of its 18 holes. The course’s dramatic design includes strategic bunkering, expansive waste areas, and undulating grass swales, capped off by the signature par-5 15th hole with an island green. English Turn was the longtime host of New Orleans’ PGA Tour event—now known as the Zurich Classic—from 1989 through 2004 and once again in 2006.

“English Turn is a distinctive club with a championship-level golf course and a strong foundation of member-focused amenities,” said David Stinson, Vice President of Operations at Troon. “We’re excited to partner with English Turn to build on their legacy and introduce new opportunities that enhance the member and guest experience both on and off the course.”

Beyond the golf, English Turn members enjoy an extensive array of amenities. These include a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a modern fitness center, locker rooms, and six lighted Rubico tennis courts. Dining options range from the mixed grill and main dining room to a casual snack shack by the pool. The club’s stately, plantation-style clubhouse also offers elegant indoor spaces—ranging from intimate lounges to a grand ballroom—ideal for hosting weddings, banquets, and corporate events.

With Troon now at the helm, English Turn Golf & Country Club is poised for continued growth and an elevated member and guest experience.
