The Alabama Golf Association will conduct its 41st State Four-Ball Championship at Limestone Springs in Oneonta, AL starting today, April 27 through Sunday, April 30. The field consists of 69 two-man teams.
Limestone Springs previously held the event in 2003.
The winning team of Clay Guerin (Hoover) and James Salter (Auburn) are in the field again this year to defend their championship.
Play will consist of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. The top 16 teams will qualify for the match play portion of the event. There will be four rounds of 18-hole matches, two rounds on both Saturday and Sunday. Match play is single elimination.
Limestone Springs Golf Club is located 30 minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama. The 18-hole championship course is set on 225 acres nestled in the Appalachian foothills. Dramatic elevation changes and picturesque views are available throughout the round. Limestone Springs was designed by former U.S. Open winner Jerry Pate.
